Where I stand

So, before I left for San Francisco, I got my weight back down to 164.6, which is kind of my new "normal" point. I've been a little bit lower than that (I think 163 is my lowest so far), but I seem to keep coming back to 164. I did great on Friday and all day on Saturday until dinner. I ate a great entree, but then everyone was ordering dessert, and I did too. Then all bets were off, and Sunday I ate the potatoes that came with my omelette, a bunch of tortilla chips at the Mexican restaurant we chose for lunch and then drank a few beers and snacked on bar food at the Super Bowl party we went to. Monday I did pretty well, since I was traveling, I just ate an omelette for breakfast, a salad for lunch and then grabbed something for dinner when I got home. So I came back to a 170 on the scale. I know that'll fall away quickly, but it's still kind of a bummer that two days of bad eating makes the scale jump six pounds. I wish two days of GOOD eating would make the scale go DOWN six pounds.

My plan for the rest of this week is to stick to around 35 or 40 net carbs per day, eating nuts, berries and some fruit. I've always had trouble with beans, starchy veggies and whole grains, which are really the only other things to add back in. So, we'll see how it goes. I'd really like to quit fooling around and lose these last 15 pounds!
